Nitrocell becomes aoBiome LLC, focuses on discovery and development of cosmetic and therapeutic uses of ammonia oxidizing bacteria to restore normal skin microbiome and raises $1.5 million in Series A financing to fund operations.

The company's research is focused at the intersection of the microbiome, nitric oxide, genomics and immunology. We are assembling a world-class scientific advisory board and have entered into a research collaboration with a leading lab in nitrifying bacteria.

Our business strategy is to be the innovator, demonstrate proof of principle in targeted cosmetic and therapeutic applications and form strategic alliances with business partners to complete development and bring our products to market globally.
